A date for the retrial of the Jason Corbett murder case is likely to be set in the US today.
A court hearing is taking place in North Carolina, where the 39-year-old Limerick man was killed in 2015.
Father and daughter, Tom and Molly Martens, were convicted of second-degree murder in 2017 - but that was overturned last year.
A retrial is set to take place later this year - and Ralph Riegel, from the Irish Independent, is attending today's pre-trial hearing.
"The new judge that has been appointed to deal with the retrial is going to deal with various logistical administrative issues about the retrial.
"Hopefully a trial date will be established today, and what we'll also get is an outline of the preparedness of both the defence and the prosecutorial teams in terms of that trial, and also how likely it will last."
