The death toll from catastrophic floods in Pakistan is getting closer to 1,000.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif yesterday begged for international help, with particularly heavy rains washing away floodgates, homes and hotels.
Monsoon season there began in June but has not let up in nearly 8 weeks, sparking evacuations.
The United Nations estimates the floods have affected over 2.3 million people, destroyed almost 100,000 homes and damaged over 200,000 houses.
