The Department of Foreign Affairs is advising Irish citizens not to travel to Sudan - as the country appears to descend into civil war.
It's also advising those already there, to remain indoors and observe local restrictions.
The Sudanese army says it's providing military planes to get people out of the capital, Khartoum - where the main international airport has been closed.
