Europe is to phase out the reliance on Russian oil, gas and coal by 2027.
The European Commission is to outline its plans by mid-May.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says it's part of its shift towards investment in renewable energy sources:
"Renewables are homegrown they create jobs here in Europe. They are a strategic investment in our security, and in our independence. By mid May, we will come up with a proposal to phase out our dependency on Russian gas, oil and coal. By 2027."
