Evacuation efforts in Ukraine are stepping up, over fears Russia is turning its attention to the east of the country.
Ukrainian officials say nine humanitarian corridors have been established around the besieged city of Mariapol, while trains have been put on for civilians escaping the Luhansk region.
Ukraine's prosecutor general, Iryna Venediktova, says the fighting across her country is brutal:
"1,222 dead people only in Kyiv region. What we see on the ground in all regions of Ukraine is war crimes - crimes against humanity".
