She has returned to Australia for surgery
Rachel has been speaking to RedFM News this afternoon about her 19 hour journey from Dublin to Perth, and how her Cork fiance is hoping to join her in the coming weeks.
She explained that very few passengers travelled with her to Australia, and that upon landing they were greeted by 20 police officers in gas masks who took their temperatures and conducted face to face interviews.
Rachel is now in self-isolation at a Government-owned hotel which she cannot leave for 14 days.
Her husband Rory is working on getting an exemption to travel to Australia to be with her for her 3 week recovery.
