Food security is top of the agenda at a meeting of EU agriculture and fisheries ministers today.
The informal gathering is taking place in Prague in the Czech Republic.
Minister of State Martin Heydon says ministers will look at how countries can work together on the issue of food security:
"So obviously the issue of food security is a massive issue for us in Ireland, as well as across Europe, and the opportunity for us to share information with our European colleagues as to how this is affecting citizens of all states, and how we can work together to ensure that food security is a top priority across Europe".
