A four-year-old Italian greyhound has contracted Monkeypox.
The dog started to show signs of the virus 12 days after his owners first noticed the onset of symptoms.
They were subsequently tested at a hospital in Paris, where the same strain was found in both the dog and one of the owners.
According to the Lancet Medical journal, the owners reported co-sleeping with their dog.
