The husband of the speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, has been assaulted during a break-in at their home in California.
Paul Pelosi is now being treated in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Mrs Pelosi's office says the assailant is in custody and the motive's being investigated.
