IMF warns of worst recession since Great Depression

The International Monetary Fund thinks the world is facing the worst recession since the Great Depression.

It's predicting the global economy will shrink by 3% this year.

The Eurozone area will see its economy contract by 7.5%.

Overall 9 trillion dollars could be wiped off the value of GDP globally over the next two years because of the pandemic.

Chief Economist with the IMF Gita Gopinath says the impact on the world economy is stark:
