He was speaking in the wake of the collapse of Flybe, which operated a twice weekly service out of Cork to Cardiff
The regional airline had announced plans to increase the frequency of that route to three times weekly this Summer before it's collapse on Wednesday night
Flybe was only saved in January, but says the impact of coronavirus on bookings has made a "difficult situation worse"
