An Irish businessman who was prevented from leaving China for three years, can now return home.
The Foreign Affairs Minister says restrictions placed on Richard O' Halloran have been lifted.
Simon Coveney says the government has been actively engaged on the issue and acknowledged the recent co-operation of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland and Chinese authorities.
In a statement Minister Coveney wished Mr. O’Halloran a happy reunion with his family.
