Jacinda Ardern says she's effectively run out of energy to be New Zealand's Prime Minister, in a surprise announcement that she's resigning.
Her last day as the country's leader will be no later than the 7th of February.
She was the world's youngest female head of government, when she took the job aged 37 in 2017.
Ardern says it was a very difficult decision.
"With such privileged role comes responsibility - the responsibility to know when you are the right person to lead, and also when you are not.
"I know what this job takes, and I know that I no longer have enough in the tank to do it justice."
