The Junior Minister for European Affairs has paid tribute to the victims of the Staines Air Disaster on it's 50th anniversary.
British European Airways Flight 548 took off on 18th June 1972 with 118 people on board.
12 of those were prominent Irish businessmen on their way to Brussels for talks with the European Commission.
However the Hawker Siddley Trident aircraft suffered a 'deep stall' moments after take-off from Heathrow and crashed - killing everyone on board.
