It seems lockdown parties in London's Downing Street may have happened most weeks when restrictions were in place - with the Prime Minister said to have encouraged 'wine time Fridays'.
The UK Mirror reports staff regularly used a suitcase to top up a dedicated alcohol fridge as Boris Johnson urged them to let off steam.
The former head of the British government's Covid taskforce has also apologised for holding leaving drinks in the Cabinet Office when they weren't allowed.
Conservative party members have differing views on the gatherings:
"At the end of the day, he's achieved many, many, many things. His parliament is failing him.
"I had a lot of confidence in him, but I feel like he's let the country down."
