Police in the North have arrested a man who is wanted to stand trial in the Republic, in relation to an assault in Cork.
The 36-year old was detained under an international warrant in north Belfast yesterday evening, in connection with the assault in Fermoy in August 2020.
He's due before an Extradition Court in Belfast today.
