A 41 year old British man was brought before a special sitting of Cork District Court this morning, in connection with threats made on the life of a female Labour MP in the UK.

"41 year old engineer, Daniel Weavers, was charged in relation to a threat made last month to kill the female Labour MP in her 50s.
He was accused of sending a menacing phone message to the politician on the 18th October, just days after Tory MP, Sir David Amess was stabbed to death in Essex.
Gardaí executed a search warrant at his home yesterday morning.
During the search, a number of electronic items were seized.
Gardaí had no objection to bail once number of conditions were met including abstaining from all intoxicants, surrendering his passport and having no unwarranted communication with British police.
Defence solicitor, Eddie Burke, confirmed that Mr Weavers agreed to abide by the bail terms.
Mr Weavers's arrest by Special Detective Branch officers, backed up by Armed Support Unit officers, is believed to have followed from information supplied by British police.
