Lawyers for the convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell have requested a new trial in New York.
Last month the she was found guilty of recruiting and grooming underage girls, to be abused by the late paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
Sky's Shingi Mararike says the legal challenge follows comments made to the media by one of the jurors.
"Soon after the trial it emerged this news that a juror had been speaking to various publications and members of the press, had experienced sexual abuse as a child.
"They used those experiences to persuade others to convict Maxwell."
