The Minister for Foreign Affairs will travel to Warsaw today to meet with his Polish counterpart and to speak to humanitarian organisations assisting those fleeing the war in Ukraine.
During his visit, Minister Coveney will also meet with a representative of UNHCR in Poland, Polish Humanitarian Action and members of the Irish community who are involved in providing supports to Ukrainian refugees.

"The visit is seen as an opportunity to discuss perspectives on the crisis with Minister Coveney's counterpart along with supports which can be provided to Ukraine and its neighbours.
The Minister is expected to express solidarity on Ireland’s behalf with Poland as the country endeavours to welcome close to 2 million people fleeing the conflict in a matter of weeks.
Commenting ahead of the trip Simon Coveney said as the conflict enters its fourth week he said he was glad to have this opportunity to visit Poland to discuss perspectives on the crisis.,
Irish Aid has so far committed 20 million euro to humanitarian assistance in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
It includes 1 million specifically for the UNHCR’s response in Poland, in addition to funding to the World Health Organisation and other UN bodies to provide support to Ukrainian refugees in Poland and other neighbouring countries."
