More than 20 British World War 2 veterans have ventured across to Pegasus Bridge for D-Day commemorations in Normandy.
The bridge played a vital part in combatting any counter-attack from the Germans as Allied Forces landed on the beaches on this day in 1944.
A mission involving troops in gliders had also set off from Dorset the night before to help secure the area.
