Moscow has signalled it's scaling back its ambitions to take over Ukraine - claiming it's completed the first phase.
President Putin's Defence Ministry says its focus is now territory claimed by Russian-backed separatists in the east.
Yesterday, Ukrainian forces managed to recapture some towns outside the capital Kyiv.
Sky's Alex Crawford has been speaking to a mother who managed to escape the northern city of Chernihiv - which has been heavily bombed by Russian troops:
"'It's hell there, it's hell', this mother tells us. "My children's godmother is still there. It's not possible to leave the shelter. There's no food, no gas, no electricity. It's just like Mariupol. Everyone's cut off."
