Elon Musk's confirmed if he's successful in taking over Twitter, he'll allow Donald Trump to return the the platform.
The former US President was banned last year after supporters stormed the Capitol building.
But the Tesla founder and world's richest person - who's agreed to buy Twitter for around 40 billion dollars - told the F-T it was 'foolish'.
"Banning from Trump from Twitter doesn't end Trump's voice.
"It will amplify it among the right.
"This is why it is morally wrong, and flat out stupid."
