A new opinion poll has shown a majority of voters are in favour of a United Ireland, but not now.
The poll in today's Irish Times shows 52% say a United Ireland is not very important, although they would like to see it some day.
Only 15% of those surveyed would like to see a referendum on Unity now, while 20% describe a referendum as a 'priority' for them.
However a large majority said they would not be in favour of a new flag, new national anthem or higher taxes in any future United Ireland.
