The new Stormont Assembly is meeting for the first time this afternoon.
The DUP intends to block the election of a speaker, essentially preventing the assembly from functioning.
Jeffrey Donaldson says they won't help get Stormont up and running until issues with the Northern Ireland protocol are dealt with.
Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe says it could be a costly game:
"So yeah, you are right about the level of risk that could develop for Ireland and other economies that do business through Northern Ireland, but that's mainly a risk for Ireland. But also very big risks will begin to develop for the ability of the United Kingdom to trade with Europe and I expect that will be taken into account".
