New Zealand is set to drop most of its pandemic mandates over the next two weeks.
People will no longer have to be vaccinated to visit places like shops and restaurants while limits on outdoor events have been scrapped.
Masks are still mandatory on public transport and in schools and health care workers must still be vaccinated.
Announcing the change in policy, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said New Zealand has been successful in fighting covid but "it's been bloody hard".
