Novak Djokovic will spend the next three nights in an Australian government detention hotel until a decision's made about whether he can stay in the country.
The tennis star's appeal against the rejection of a visa's been adjourned until Monday.
He'd travelled after announcing he had a medical exemption to avoid mandatory Covid vaccination to compete at the Australian Open.
Fellow 20-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal says Djokovic knew the rules:
"If he wanted`, he will be playing here in Australia without a problem now. In some way, I feel sorry for him, but at the same time, he knew the conditions since a lot of months ago, so he makes his own decision."
