A number of Police officers escaped serious injury after three patrol cars were rammed in Belfast city centre.
It happened just after 4.30 this morning , when officers on patrol in the Upper Lisburn Road area, spotted a car that had been reported being driven erratically earlier.
It failed to stop for police and as it travelled into the city centre, Armed Response Unit officers positioned their vehicles at the Grosvenor Road /Fisherwick Place junction, to stop it.
Police say when officers attempted to arrest the driver and passenger, the driver repeatedly drove at and rammed the police cars.
Two men, a 54 year old and a 30 year old have been arrested on suspicion of a range of offences
