Parents whose son was killed in a elementary school shooting in Connecticut have been awarded $4 million in damages.
They successfully sued internet conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for falsely claiming the mass shooting in 2012 was a hoax.
He had claimed that the children killed in the gun massacre were actors and reports of the shooting were propaganda aimed at removing guns from US society.
A jury in Texas still has to decide further damages against Jones for spreading falsehoods.
