US Prosecutors have offered a plea bargain deal to Molly and Tom Martens over the killing of Jason Corbett.
The Limerick father of two was beaten to death in America over five years ago.
39 year old father of two Jason Corbett was beaten to death in the bedroom of his North Carolina home in August 2015.
His wife Molly Martens and her father Tom, a former FBI agent, were found guilty of second degree murder in 2017.
They had served almost four years of a 20 to 25 year jail term when the Supreme Court quashed the convictions over evidential issues.
US prosecutors have now offered a plea bargain deal to Molly and Tom Martens meaning they won’t face a second trial.
The Corbett family say they are devastated by the decision
