The first human trials of a potential coronavirus vaccine will take place in Oxford today.
Teams from Oxford University and Imperial College London have secured funding from the British government for the project.
If the trials are succesful, it's hoped the vaccine could be available in small numbers by the end of the year.
Professor Andrew Pollard, from Oxford University, is involved - and says there's no competition between different groups trying to achieve the same thing.
"We're competing against a virus that is killing people around the world.
"There is a very good coalition of developers, coordinated by the World Health Organisation, who are getting together regularly to review progress."
