Pressure is mounting on the former President of the High Court to consider his position following a controversial appointment to the courts system in Dubai.
Mr Justice Peter Kelly is set to take on a senior role on the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts which is based on common law in the UAE.
Former Chief Justice Frank Clarke was to take up a similar position but has resigned following criticism of the country's human rights record.
Mr Justice Kelly retired from the High Court in June 2020 and has not commented on the matter.
