Russia's military says the remaining fighters defending Mariupol's Azovstal steel plant have "surrendered".
It claims the site has been "completely liberated" from Ukrainian troops.
The Kremlin's ministry says the group comprised of 531 people.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials say fears remain for civilians.
