A climber has died and another has been injured after an avalanche on the north face of Ben Nevis in Scotland.
It happened around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon.
A helicopter resue team was dispatched to help, but challenging weather conditions complicated the recovery.
A 48 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his 40 year old colleague was later taken to hospital in Fort William.
Both are thought to have fallen around 600 metres.
