Sinn Fein has become the largest party in local government in the North.
The party's vice president Michelle O'Neill has hailed it as a "momentous" election result.
The result means the largest party at Stormont is now also the largest in local government.
It had clinched 144 seats late last night, with the DUP on 122 and the Alliance Party on 67 as counting continued.
Sinn Fein TD, Louise O'Reilly says her party picked up strong support to get the Executive back up and running:
"We were sensing a lot of positivity and momentum comming towards Sinn Féin. And mainly, the issue that was coming up was around the Executive. People wants to see the Executive restored. They want to make politics work for all. They see that Michelle, Michelle O'Neill, as First Minister Designate is out there trying to make that happen, and it's very heartening to see that that we have been backed in such large numbers".
