Some members of the public are still waiting on refunds from certain airlines for cancelled flights almost two years after the Covid pandemic hit.
That's the stark news today from the European Consumer Centre office in Dublin.
It says under the law, anybody who had a flight cancelled, is entitled to a refund.
Dr. Cyril Sullivan of ECC Ireland says even British airlines are still obliged to pay refunds under EU law.
"The regulations are still being applied within the UK, so the rules and regulations still apply.
"So therefore, the law hasn't changed, it requires the time lines of refunds and the requirement to make a refund to do with the UK airlines."
