It's believed the leaders of the Kinahan cartel may try to flee Dubai after fresh sanctions were imposed on them.
The United Arab Emirates has frozen the assets of Daniel Kinahan, his father Christy and brother Christopher.
It follows sanctions imposed by the US last week with a 15 million dollar reward for information that leads to the trio's arrest.
Crime editor with The Irish Sun, Stephen Breen, says the Kinahans are running out of options to avoid the authorities:
"There is a possibility, until they are arrested, that they could possibly go to Oman, and then could they go to somewhere like South Africa or South America, but you know, they can't fly on any American Airline because of the flight plan. You know, the Guards will also be aware that, in the past, that have used fake passport, so the options aren't too open to them as they were a number of weeks ago".
