Ireland's gas supplies are secure, according to the Tanáiste.
It comes amid fears of shortages caused by the supply lines from Russia being cut by Vladimir Putin.
But Tánaiste Leo Varadkar says Irish gas is secure, as it isn't imported from Russia.
However contingency plans are still being put in place:
"If President Putin were to cut off the gas to Europe, that wouldn't have a direct effect on us. However, it would have an effect on our European partners, particularly Germany and Central and Eastern Europe, and that might have a knock on effect on us. So we are monitoring the situation - we believe gas supplies are going to be secure."
