Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and the leader of Britain's Labour Party Keir Starmer have expressed hope that progress can be made on the Northern Ireland Protocol.
They held a meeting in Davos this morning, where the World Economic Forum is being held this week.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told Mr Starmer the Irish economy is still benefiting from growth - but inflation is impacting people and business.
Keir Starmer was also briefed about a new Child Wellbeing unit being set up in the Department of the Taoiseach, inspired by a similar project under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
