The Taoiseach says his focus is on helping Ukraine, and not on Russia's attitude to the Irish Government.
It’s after 52 politicians were banned from entering Russia earlier this week, including Micheál Martin, the Tánaiste, and the Foreign Affairs Minister.
The entire list was revealed today and is made up of the Ceann Comhairle, an independent senator along with Fine Gael and Fianna Fail politicians.
Despite this, Taoiseach Micheál Martin says his focus is maintaining solidarity with Ukraine:
"I think it's very, very important that we understand what's afoot here by the Russian government and not be distracted by it, and to maintain our focus on keeping international pressure on Russia to end this war, and maintaining European solidarity and unity of purpose with the United Kingdom, the United States and other like minded democracies."
