The Taoiseach has said it will be hard to carve out a deal for the undocumented Irish in the US.
Micheál Martin says the migration debate happening in America makes securing visas all the more difficult.
It's something he raised with US President Joe Biden at their virtual meeting in Washington DC.
The Taoiseach says he wants to see new forms of migration between Ireland and the USA:
"It's very difficult to get one carve-out deal for one country, but we are continuing to work on the E3 visa. And I did raise that with Speaker Pelosi and with Chairman Neal."
