The UK Tory leadership rivals traded blows over economic policies, China and Boris Johnson in the latest TV debate.
Rishi Sunak also claimed Liz Truss would lose a general election, while the current foreign secretary thinks his tax rises would bring a recession.
The former Chancellor has been accused of mansplaining, with his rival sometimes struggling to get a word in.
But former Brexit secretary, David Davis disagrees with that assessment:
"When we're in the comments, we have these comparatively fierce exchanges. Nobody expects any quarter in that. It's an important way of getting to the truth of challenging people. You have to challenge things when they're wrong."
