In the UK, a court's heard Ryan Giggs told police his clash of heads with his girlfriend in 2020 was "not deliberate."
The ex-footballer was interviewed by detectives the day after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-partner, at his home.
The former Manchester United player handed officers a hand-written prepared statement which said his "head clashed" with Kate Greville's during a "scuffle" over a mobile phone.
