The UK has almost overtaken Italy as the country with the most Covid-19 deaths in Europe.
More than 28,800 people have lost their lives in Britain and Northern Ireland - just 200 less than Italy's total.
Across the world, more than a quarter of a million people have died of the coronavirus.
