Thames Valley Police has made what it's called the "unusual" step of naming a suspect in the murder of teenager Leah Croucher in Britain.

Convicted sex offender Neil Maxwell took his own life two months after the 19-year-old vanished in 2019.

This week, detectives found human remains at a home in Milton Keynes.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, says Maxwell was the only person with keys to the address at the time of the teenager's disappearance:

"A significant number of inquiries were made nationally to locate Maxwell and these included 18 separate arrest attempts. If Maxwell was alive today, we would be seeking his arrest so he could be interviewed under caution to provide his account".
