Cities in Ukraine have imposed curfews as Russia celebrates Victory Day - which marks the defeat of Hitler's fascists in 1945.
President Putin will stage a military parade in Moscow.
The Ukrainian leader says 60 people were killed yesterday when Russian forces bombed a village school in the Luhansk region where many were sheltering.
In an overnight address, President Zelenskyy insisted evil always loses.
"Russia has forgotten everything that was important to the victors of World War Two.
"But Ukraine and the whole free world will remind it.
"I am grateful to all our defenders who are defending and saving Ukraine from the modern descendants of that old evil."
