Ukraine's president has urged people in Moscow-controlled areas to avoid conscription "by any means".
Volodymyr Zelenskyy's told those forced into the Kremlin's army they should "sabotage" it from the inside.
Meanwhile, there have been protests in separatist-backed areas of Ukraine where referendums have been held on whether they want to be a part of Russia.
