A Ukrainian woman living in Cork says the current crisis in her country is like "a nightmare you can't wake up from."
Dozens of people attended a protest in the city yesterday evening to call for an end to the invasion which has been strongly condemned by most of the world's nations.
British intelligence suggesting the Kremlin's troops are roughly 20 kilometres from the capital city of Kyiv
Tatiana and her family live in Cork but she has many family members in Ukraine including her father and her 17 year old godson who says he will fight to protect Kyiv.
She told RedFM News that the past few days have been very difficult:
"It is scary to say the least. It is like a night when you can't wake up from. Very stressful. I found myself crying when I'm buying a cup of coffee. I cried today to the girl at the coffee shop. I was with my kids. So I'm here drinking coffee but my family, my friends that there. So I didn't realise what level of stress you do have until you're trying to make sense of it, which there is very little sense you can make."
