The US actress Anne Heche has died, nine days after being involved in a major car crash.
The 53 year-old was described as "legally dead" after suffering a brain injury in California, but remained on life-support so her organs could be donated.
She was known for roles opposite stars including Harrison Ford and Johnny Depp, as well as dating talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in the late-nineties.
