It appears Joe Biden has secured a big win, as US networks project his party has won a crucial Senate race in the US state of Georgia.
The Democrat Raphael Warnock defeated his Republican rival Herschel Walker in a run-off race after neither won in the mid-term elections last month.
The result gives the US President’s party an outright majority in the Senate for the next two years.
