The US President has accused Russia of committing genocide on the Ukrainian people.
Joe Biden said Vladimir Putin is trying to wipe out the idea of being Ukrainian and that evidence is mounting.
Former US President Barack Obama said he believes the White House is doing what it needs to do:
"What we're seeing consistently is a reminder of why it's so important for us to not take our own democracy for granted, why it's so important for us to stand for, and lie ourselves with those who believe in freedom and independence."
